Approximately one third of the world is still classified as unreached, with North India having the largest number of UPGs in the world. Mercy Aid is driven by the imperative of the 'Great Commission' as outlined in Matthew chapter 28, partnering with local pastors in North India to plant churches in unreached areas. 11 new churches were planted in 2011. If we are serious about ‘making disciples of all nations’ then we must be serious about empowering national church planters and facilitating the organic multiplication of churches. Local church planters know the language and the culture, and Christians in developed countries can assist through financial and teaching resources as well as the ability to pray earnestly for the harvest. We currently lead training conferences for local pastors who in turn impact their communities, develop emerging leaders, making disciples who will make disciples.
